For my M1 Mac I have an external exFAT 2tb SSD and external exFAT 4tb HDD. No good choices.įor my Windows PC I have an external NTFS 2tb SSD and external NTFS 4tb HDD. No, I am not ditching anything right now, but I am feeling quite frustrated with this whole issue of data portability between MacOS and Windows (and could be Linux or some other future OS).Īfter a horrible experience with Paragon I will not again use any of the 3rd party drivers for MacOS and Windows that allow read/write of other file systems. For someone else, of course, it might be the reverse. Main positive is the M1 which means quiet, small, good performance - and this is a pretty big positive. As it stands right now for me, I suppose it would be ditch Macs because there are fewer positives and more negatives. ![]() It is such a hassle and headache I sometimes feel like ditching either Macs or PCs. It is a conundrum to figure out what to do. ![]()
